"In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and trulyunderstood God’s grace." - Colossians 1:6

At Elk Mountain Academy I Choose...

  • I choose love over fear... “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your mind and with all your strength.” - Mark 12:30
  • I choose love over fear... “Do everything in love” - 1 Corinthians 16:14
  • I choose love over fear... “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” - John 15:12
  • I choose love over fear... “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” - 1 John 4:8
  • I forgive... "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9
  • I forgive... “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” - Ephesians 4:31-32
  • I am accountable... “Each one of you should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparingthemselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.” - Galatians 6:4-5
  • I am gentle and kind... “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a hard word stirs up anger. The tone of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly." - Proverbs 15:1-2
  • I am gentle and kind... “Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.” - Ephesians 4:25
  • I am committed to growing emotionally, relationally, and spiritually...

“Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins.” - 2 Peter 1:5-9
